You've seen it on "Downton Abbey," but what was it really like to work as a nurse or doctor during World War I?
Curators and staff from our Medicine and Science and Armed Forces History teams will share objects that are normally stored behind the scenes, including women's uniforms from the war, X-ray tubes, medical kits from around the globe, splints, and artificial limbs. You'll learn about treating wounds, taking X-rays, and the challenges of nursing during the war.
Free! Just drop by. No registration or tickets required. You'll find us at the Wallace H. Coulter Performance Plaza on the museum's First Floor.
